Background: Kelly is largely a self-taught intersectional feminist, forever indebted to the generous folks on the progressive side of the internet for their expansive teachings. She has completed a Graduate Certificate in Gender and Sexuality studies at Birkbeck, University of London, to refine her understanding of social structures and the vitality of intersectional feminism, and has a Certificate of Higher Learning in Legal Method from the same institution. In a previous life, Kelly worked in television, with an education from BCIT and the majority of her experience with the British Broadcasting Corporation in London. Kelly is white, cis, middle class, and non-disabled.
Interests: The politics of representation in mainstream media, democratic structures and how they interact with social (in)justice, and constructive progressive practices. She also loves storytelling.
