PIFS defines Feminism as a movement to promote the equality of all genders.

Intersectional Feminism is a more nuanced version of Feminism that acknowledges aspects of race, LGBTQ+ and other social backgrounds. You don’t have to be a PIFS member to attend our meetings and be active with us. We offer a multitude of events and causes that you can join at any level of involvement.

What is PIFS fundraising for?2019-06-26T17:11:51-07:00

Funds raised will go toward our ongoing work in political advocacy, creating spaces for discussion of topics that are often misunderstood or ignored, and for content creation published through our website.

We aspire to build educational programs, run workshops and seminars on various topics and dismantling biases under the umbrella of intersectional feminism (eg: gender, race, class); monitor media and political content; and other collaborative projects working toward decolonization and an equitable society.

We accept support from passionate individuals, Canadian owned organizations, and non-partisan government funds.
